Like a Boss: Revamped

This is Vegeta in my own style in his Ascended Super Saiyan form from the Cell Saga. I’m not that good drawing the bangs and all and that’s why I left the hair as undetailed as it is. It probably would’ve given it more life, please feel welcome to give me tips on how to draw it better.

What do you think? The hands are off, but I’m quite content with it.

Professor Calculus: Master of Savate

Professor Calculus from the Tintin series is told to have been a master of the Martial Arts Savate. From Wikipedia:

“He is a former practitioner of the French martial art savate, although a demonstration in Flight 714 shows him to be a bit rusty.”

In this drawing, he’s most certainly NOT “a bit rusty“. He’s well oiled still, and shows off his great physique and unintentionally reveals his nipple piercings. They remind me of something… right, his pendulum. Only now he has two penduli instead of one. Very clever, Professor C, very clever…

I was dissappointed to see that he wasn’t included in the animated 3D movie, but that might’ve been too much to balance off. They did do a great job without him after all.

Have You Had Your Fun Today?

Some days really are like this, you really have to make sure to have your daily fun! Though I’d rather go with Tetris than Golf and F4 race…

I mean, what’s better than getting home after school or work and plug in or pick up your video games to just relax?

After your homework is done, of course.

But not if you have no more homework, as I do! He he he he! >:-D

Too soon for some of you? Don’t worry, I miss the simplicity of school when work gets too complicated. Then again, some times I’m happy I won’t have to study too.

Seriously, you probably could use the Classic Gameboy as a weapon. Like a brick.

Why No Subtitles For Arnold Movie?!: The Sequel

This time I decided to watch Raw Deal in the box I bought. And yet, still no subtitle for Arnold movie.

Get it? Raw Deal? I’m hilarious!

It’s a UK release, and I have 3 plausible theories why they didn’t include subtitles in the movies:

  1. It’s cheaper that way.
  2. They think native English-speakers can understand Arnold Schwarzenegger in his early movies without breaking a sweat when focusing all their energy on hearing.
  3. Mr. Schwarzenegger himself barged into the publishers office and demanded that they’d not release the box with subtitles as it’d insult his honor.

The movie itself was better than Red Heat in my opinion. It’s about a cop that had to be relocated because of something a sleazeball of an officer did to force him into it. Then one day his former boss calls and wants Arnold to extract revenge on the people that killed his son, who also happened to be a cop or CIA officer (I think). Arnold infiltrates and extracts revenge in beautiful ways, in ways that are delightful to watch. And of course he eventually gets a hold of the sleazeball that forced him to relocate as well, and another bout of revenge ensues. Awesome indeed.

This is exactly the kind of movie I’d watch if I was tired and needed to see unnecessary violence and confident macho men (or in this case, one unit of confident macho man).

Just look at the poster, it says it all. Awesome!

Pokémon Progress: In Black and White

Slither the Serperior Lv. 75 – Leaf Blade, Giga Drain, Aerial Ace, Coil

Mana the Musharna Lv. 76- Psychic, Moonlight, Calm Mind, Shadow Ball

Thor the Thundurus Lv. 78 – Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, Nasty Plot, Thunder Wave

Terra the Stoutland Lv. 75 – Return, Wild Charge, Roar, Crunch

Judoh the Throh Lv. 75 – Revenge, Stone Edge, Body Slam, Seismic Toss

Octo the Octillery Lv. 75 – Signal Beam, Ice Beam, Surf, Flamethrower

I really liked Pokémon White. I’m going to change Terra into a Ditto with the ability Imposter (see, I did my homework!) and Thor into… something else. I’m not really sure what yet though.

I really want a Ditto with Imposter, I’ve waited for it to be useful ever since the first game. This is actually one of the core reasons why I gave Black and White a chance!

Everyone Loves Libraries!

This is my NES “library”.  I’m putting library into quotation marks since it’s such a scarce amount of games. Still I have chosen them with outmost care and I don’t feel that I want any more games for the system at the moment.

I have Super Mario Bros. 3, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!!, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Mario Bros., Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers and Wrecking Crew.

  •  Super Mario Bros. 3: From my wife

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! : Bought at an online auction site

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Bought at an online auction site

Mario Bros.: Bought at a flea market.

Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers: Bought at a store that sells retro video games

Wrecking Crew: Bought at a store that sells retro video games

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! doesn’t work unfortunately since it turned out to be an American NTSC version that doesn’t work on my PAL system… the guy selling the game wasn’t entirely honest about it. So I can’t play it at the moment unless I mod the game or use an adapter/converter. You can ask me how I know it’s American when it doesn’t say which region it’s from, neither on the label nor on the back of the cartridge. That, my friends, also boggled me to no end. How could I identify the region of the game?

The INTERNET of course!

Some dude/dudette behind another computer screen in a land far far away wrote that early American games didn’t have any region labels. This was never the case with any of the other regions! This means that this game has to be American, and the fact that it doesn’t work on my system further supports this. Well, it also could be broken but I’d rather not think about it since the game was relatively pricey…

So do you have tips of where to buy a NTSC to PAL converter? So that I won’t have to butcher my own NES system? I know it’s an easy procedure to region unlock the NES but I love NES accessories.

Yes. I’m an European. I’m still shrouded in mystery though. Well, at least I hope I still am.
