Retro Ads: What Were They Thinking?

Weird!

Weird!

More fun than a clip on the ear:

Aren’t most things more fun than a clip on the ear? Is the Gameboy so dull that it’s better than such a painful thing simply because it doesn’t hurt? I really don’t think this commercial speaks in favour of the Gameboy, but I admit that it’s eye-catching and sure to grab the readers’ attention. Also he’s sitting outside in the dark, if I’m seeing things correctly… do they mean the Gameboy is so awesome that it’s wickedly fun even when played in the dark with suboptimal light?

Weirder!

Weirder!

More fun than a hole in the head:

I can’t imagine how much pain this guy is in. I mean, ouch. And what’s with all the grass? A lawn in the living room? Come on! I’ve managed to find out the identity of that guy though. *Cough*TheJokersNephew*Cough*

    • He’s definately weird. An alien? Might be, might be. That flagpole could be a communication or mind controlling unit in disguise, with the Gameboy working as the controls. Clever little alien.
